READABILITY
Editorial content remains within the existing publishing interface and category structure.
WebLTDIGITALSELECTED WORK / 2026
Custom engineering for an existing NewsExtra publishing application, focused on feed importing, scheduled work and recoverable background processing. The contribution extends an established publishing product rather than claiming its original platform as our own.

Bounded background imports separate source fetching from foreground editorial requests.
This contribution concerns publishing and ingestion; no checkout integration is claimed.
THE CHALLENGE
Feed ingestion must handle changing sources and interruptions without losing track of work or publishing repeated items.
OUR APPROACH
We added bounded feed processing, a durable database job record and Redis Streams coordination, with duplicate checks and recoverable worker handling.
CAPABILITIES THAT MATTER
Manual, scheduled and webhook import modes use source-state checks and bounded article batches.
MySQL stores import-job state so work remains traceable when a queue or worker is interrupted.
Redis Streams coordination supports worker acknowledgement and recovery of pending jobs.
Source URL checks, timeouts, response limits and duplicate protection bound the import workflow.
A more structured content-ingestion workflow with a persistent record of background work.
